What are ICF Foundation Scholarships?
The ICF Foundation is on a mission to ensure that coaching is made available to underrepresented populations. Additionally, to increase our focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, the ICF Foundation partners with ICF Coaching Education and accredited educational organizations to offer scholarships for individual coaching education opportunities.
Scholarship recipients will receive the following benefits:
- Tuition Scholarship (in-kind) to a Level 1 (60+ hours) ICF accredited Coaching Education program. Education will be provided virtually.
- Recipients will be asked to cover the cost of other incidentals and to have a reliable internet connection.
- Complimentary ICF membership for length of scholarship/training.
- Opportunity to apply for/pursue ACC credential (application fee waived) one year after scholarships are awarded.
- Access to a mentoring coach during the Level 1 accredited training program.
As part of its mission, the ICF Foundation aims to offer coach education that is culturally relevant and that aligns with the United Nations Global Goals.

Empowering Aspiring Coaches to Change the World
Here is what our scholarship recipients have to say:
“Receiving this scholarship has profoundly impacted me in numerous ways. It has not only provided me with the essential foundation of coaching but has also broadened my perspective on its transformative power. Previously, I viewed coaching primarily as guidance and direction, akin to wearing a consultant hat. However, through this scholarship, I’ve come to understand coaching as a tool for self-awareness and personal growth, enabling individuals to unlock their own potential.”

“I give to the ICF Foundation because the work is completely aligned with my life purpose, my aspirations, and my raison d’etre. This work is important for so many reasons and I am honored to be a part of our growing society of trained coaches.”
