Why Apply for a special project?

Applying for a Special Project with the ICF Foundation offers a unique opportunity to engage in a custom coaching engagement to fit your organization’s needs. By partnering with the ICF Foundation to receive coaching, you are helping your organization build capacity and accelerate and amplify efforts towards social impact.

application requirements

Organizations interested in partnering with the ICF Foundation to launch a Special Project must meet the following criteria:

  • Have an existing measurement procedure to measure impact/success of their programs.
  • Align with at least one of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
  • Understand the value of coaching.
  • Demonstrate executive buy-in for coaching.
  • Agree and commit to a coaching engagement duration between 6-12 months.
  • Be committed to creating, promoting, and maintaining a coaching culture and mindset.
  • Have a budget to receive coaching (coaching will be offered at an agreed-upon rate fee).

To be considered for the 2025 Special Projects program, please complete the online application by 5 p.m. (New York) on March 17th, 2025.

  • March-April 2025: Application review period.

  • May 2025: Selected applicants notified.

  • June-September 2025: Coaching engagements begin.
